Some Sailing Pics For You …

Well, we got invited to go sailing out in the Gulf of Mexico the other day, and here are some photos of that trip.

We got a little wind on the trip, but nothing to crazy.

The whole trip was great… we couldn’t have asked for a more beautiful day.

This first pic is of me at the helm. It was actually my first time ever to sail a boat this big (40ft.). Let’s just say I had A LOT of help… :)

Here is my beautiful wife Leslie on the bow…

Here is another picture of me at the helm.

This was a HUGE school of stingrays we say about 10 miles out. There were hundreds of stingrays.

Here is a pic of Leslie and I at the helm.

Well, I hope you enjoyed the pictures of our afternoon sailing trip. Hopefully we will be going out again soon, and I will surely take some more pics!

Also, don’t let the pics fool you… I know NOTHING about sailing. I am trying to learn though.

I have met some great people here in Florida that have already taught me a TON.

Have a good one!

The both of you look like you had a BLAST ! I grew up on boats…Not sail though. Just a few years back I had a beautiful 40ft Trojan with a 13 ft beam….she turned alot of heads on the Gulf…and I have to agree with you to everyone…”Take time and enjoy your rewards of all the hard work….it will make you a much happier person and a much better Entrepeneur.” Thanks for all the pics :-)

All the best,
Diane ~

Awesome! You sure know how to make a guy in 100+ temperature in Dallas feel bad. Hey, if Dallas had a beach & mountains - we’d have everthing.

Glad you are able to enjoy Life! That’s what it’s all about.

Ryan,
Great pictures & yes everyone needs a break!
Two years ago we flew to Cancun, Mexico. Did some sailing on a little boat Plus did some deep sea fishing! We now have a 8′ sailfish on our wall. It was fantastic!! If you ever have a chance to go deep fishing DO IT!!
It was a blast , biggest fish I ever caught, took about 45-60 min. to get it in!

What stormy seas, the boat was not heeling at all. Did you ever use the sails? Sorry, I am being cruel, but most of my sailing has been in small centre boad boats where one has to work hard to keep the boat flat. Yes, a little heel is OK, but too much and the transom (the blunt end) digs into the water and slows the boat down. An important factor when one is racing.
