Search Engine Tool - Google Alerts

I wanted to share a tool with you that I have been using for the past few months that I absolutely love.

It’s called Google Alerts

Basically, Google Alerts are emails that are sent to you whenever a new result appears in google for whatever term you specified.

For Example:

Let’s say that I want to be notified (from google) whenever somebody talks about a “search engine tool”

I can set up a Google Alert for the term (search engine tool) and I will be notified, by email, whenever anyone posts something on the internet that contains the words “search engine tool”

This is an awesome tool for you to keep up to date on any topic you want.

Google currently offers results for News, Web pages, Blogs, Videos, and Groups.

So, head over to Google Alerts, and set up a couple notifiers.

You can have the alerts show up in your inbox immediately, or just once per day… it’s up to you.

p.s. I would definitely recommend setting up an alert for your own name as well as any of your domains. It’s always nice to see who’s talking about you …
